How to Get Here & Getting Around - The Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is the main airport serving the two cities. San Jose del Cabo can be reached by the Transpeninsular Hwy (Highway 1), which connects San Jose del Cabo with Cabo San Lucas in the west and La Paz (Mexico) in the north. There are car rental agencies in the airport and in San Jose del Cabo. Public transportation or local buses run between the two cities with service every 20-30 minutes. Buses stop at most attractions and beaches along Highway 1.
When to Go - With an average of 360 days of sun per year, the best weather occurs from mid-October to November, and then again from April to mid-May. If you plan on fishing, book your trip for August through November, as this is the prime season for sport. If youre traveling with young children or want to avoid the crowds, steer away from the peak season which runs from December until Easter, and includes a number of Spring Break weeks.
