A very peaceful location, less than 5 minutes to beaches. Large garden is a work in progress with young trees and flowering plants. Close to amenities, bank ATM, groceries, post office, Railway station Zambrone. Restaurants close-by. Located at Gulf of St. Eufemia in the Costa Degli Dei (“Coast of the Gods”), a nature paradise with picturesque coves and clear turquoise waters. Fishing for groupers, barracudas, white sea bream and other typical Mediterranean fish.
Frogman Team diving centre is 3 km away. Diving offers the chance for everyone to admire unspoiled flora and fauna, with trips to shoals, archaeological remains and wrecks.
Zambrone marina is the longest white beach in the region. There is a secluded beach, located behind the train station of Zambrone, with a nice trek through pastures and fields, to your own private beach. Tropea is 10 minutes to the south, always a popular tourist spot; a lovely medieval town overlooking the ocean, and the famous Santa Maria dell’Isola. About 20 minutes to Capo Vaticano, a seaside resort famous for its beaches. Pizzo is about 25 minutes north, ideal for afternoon strolls, narrow streets and shopping. Tartufo originates here. See the fort where Joachim Murat (Viceroy of Naples and his brother-in-law of Napoleon) were imprisoned. Inland, just 30 minutes by car, is Vibo Valentia, with its Norman-Swabian castle, from which there is a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Visitors enjoy the civic museum and many interesting archaeological finds of the region. The National Park (lake district) of the Sila is to the north, with skiing in winter.
Serra San Bruno, is one hour and a half away by car, located at the heart of the Serre Calabresi, an interesting mountain village. It's an interesting place with Baroque churches, especially famous for the Carthusian monastery of that name and one of only a few remaining. Aspromonte National Park is located to the south and takes an hour and a half to reach, including town and park area. Other interesting places including those in the Griko-speaking areas of Bova, old Amendolea and Pentedattilo, about 2.5 hours by car.
Beaches abound at Zambrone (longest), Groticelle or Tropea and many others along the coast.
Enjoy boat trips to the Aeolian Islands and Stromboli. Vibo Centre mall at Vibo Valentia, great for shopping. Sicily is less than 1.5 hours and can be reached by ferry from Villa San Giovanni, leaving every 40 minutes all day, every day.
