If you are not a skier or snowboarder, you can also enjoy snow shoeing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, golfing or just going for a walk on the many trails right out our door. The Chalet is a short distance from the Kimberley Nordic Trails where you will find kilometers and kilometers of maintained cross country ski and snow shoe trails which lead into the vast 1,800 acre Kimberley Nature Park. Once in the Kimberley Nature Park, you will enjoy endless biking, hiking, snow shoeing and cross country ski trails. Our Kimberley vacation rental chalet is also a short bike ride to the Northstar Rails to Trails which is a maintained and paved trail created on the old Kimberley Rail Line. The Rails to Trails links the community of Kimberley with Cranbrook through a 25km stretch of trail that winds along some of the most beautiful mountain sides and through some of the most breathtaking river and creek valleys in British Columbia’s Kootenay Canadian Rockies region. A further drive out but within 45 or so minutes, you’ll find yourself enjoying the forest wilds, views and waters at St. Mary’s Lake, Wasa Lake or Moyie Lake.

If you follow along the nautical-themed hallway just off of the bedrooms you'll have access to the large patio in the backyard where you can enjoy your private use hot tub. The hot tub is under a large open-wall tent so you can enjoy the tub even if it's raining or snowing. You can also enjoy the view of your ski-in path from Mt Morrisey which is a nice grassy area in the spring and summer. The patio wraps around the side of the house where your barbeque is homed, and has another separate entrance if you want to head directly back to the living area. The top level of this home has a nice loft and reading nook area with ample seating and a live-edge wood table, as well as access to the third and fourth bedrooms.     We always enjoy being a short walk to the Village and this unit gives you such. Community waters are not a must for us but my husband loves a private hot tub thank you.
