We are located on the incredibly sought after Banks Road, a 3 minute drive from the beautiful and quaint town of Governors Harbour, where you will find everything from grocery stores, gas stations, coffee shops, liquor stores and restaurants which offer great views of picturesque Cupids Cay and the Caribbean. Here you can watch the fishermen bring in their daily catch or simply sit with a wine or coffee and watch the activity of this charming little village. Sandy Hill is decorated in light neutral tones framed with antique wood beams, floor to ceiling custom antiqued wood, and white painted walls which bring the vibrant outdoor colours of the Caribbean to the inside. Floors throughout the home are covered in a beautiful sand coloured tumbled marble. The main house is constructed in 3 pods each connected to the main living area by glass breezeways, allowing for quiet and privacy in the bedroom areas. The north and south pods (wings) of the house each contain a queen size bedroom with a TV, and a bunk room with a double bottom and single top bunk bed. Each of the two wings have a full bath, which the two bedrooms share. All bedrooms have large windows and sliding glass doors with incredible ocean views. They have high vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, and closets with shelves for easy storage of clothes, and access to a covered porch area with table and chairs. One bathroom has a bathtub with shower and the other a full shower. Both bathrooms have custom made vanities and mirrors, and are bright and modern. The central pod is the main area. It features partial high-vaulted ceilings constructed in wood, and offers a very cozy living space with wall-to-wall glass doors overlooking the ocean. The kitchen has a large island and bar stools and is fully equipped with all the necessities you will find at home. The dining table seats 10 comfortably and is strategically placed so all guests have an ocean view. The sitting room has cozy over-sized sofa and chairs and wall TV. Soft carpeting gives a luxurious feel when relaxing in this area. This area also has a powder room with a washer/dryer. Above the living area is the upstairs master bedroom, which has a king size bed. The master features a balcony with panoramic views up and down the beach and a beautiful sunny en suite bathroom with large shower. The laundry room with new stackable washer and dryer holds all laundry necessities. This room also has cabinets for storage, a bathroom area, and a built in wall safe with key or code entry for safe keeping of valuables. The one bedroom guest cottage is located on the west side of the house, and features a queen bed and full bath with shower. It is available for an additional charge. Sandy Hill Beach House’s large and magnificent outdoor area has a covered patio with a dining area and gas grill, also in tumbled marble continued from the interior, with steps down to a large custom-built cedar deck, comfortable sitting area with sofas, tables and lounges. This outdoor area is set on top of the dune with spectacular views of the ocean and pink sand beach below. A stunning infinity pool which appears to spilling down the sandy hill into the water below will keep you cool and refreshed. The pool can be heated for an optional fee of $500/week. Custom built wooden steps from the outdoor area lead down to the ocean and miles of pink sand. Enjoy our two sea kayaks! A five-minute walk down the beach will bring you to famous Tippy’s restaurant and beach bar. A walk in the opposite direction will lead you to the outstanding Culmers Rocks formation. "Sapodilly" (Unit 1A at the Buttonwood Reserve Oceanfront Condominium Resort) is a lower level unit, that includes a full-surround two-ocean view, facing west over the Caribbean for the sunset and east to the Atlantic for the sunrise. Enjoy stunning ocean views from every room through eight-foot glass sliders and six-foot bay windows. The expansive private decks also feature spectacular sea views in every direction. Children must be age 10 or older to stay in this condominium. Buttonwood Reserve has access to two beaches. On the Atlantic side is a world-class, 3-mile-long pink-sand beach, pristine without a single house. It is accessed via our private, golf-carts only driveway. The condominium comes with a golf cart. On the Caribbean side of our property, almost in your front yard, is a second beach. This beach is small and rather rocky, so not so aesthetic, but the water is as calm as a lake and this shore is perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. The Caribbean side also features our new 70 foot boat dock, a perfect for platform for jumping/diving, fishing, or of course docking a small boat. Our resort-style pool is just steps from your condominium. This beautiful landscaped pool is heated for comfortable swimming year round. The professionally decorated interior of this vacation rental is elegantly furnished, modern, warm and comfortable. The east end of the great room features a modern, open-plan, luxurious kitchen finished in stainless steel and black granite. The kitchen, dining area, and living room have magnificent ocean views in every direction, with water sparkling as far as the eye can see. The master bedroom is features a large upholstered window seat with magnificent panoramic views of the Caribbean, a perfect spot to relax with a book or morning coffee, or watch the sunset over the sea. The master is furnished with a king bed and equipped with an en-suite full bath. The master has a private door leading to the deck over the Caribbean. The guest bedroom also features a large window seat with a spectacular view, this one overlooking the Atlantic. The bedroom has a full en-suite bath (which can be accessed from the hall as well). It is furnished with twin beds that can be converted into a king. Buttonwood Reserve comes with kayaks and a paddle board for use on the sea or in our pond. Bicycles are also provided for riding around the property or to town, less than a mile away. Our groundskeeper, Patrick, is an expert fisherman and will take you out fishing in his boat for a half day or full day (extra charges apply.) Grill your catch fresh on our infrared outdoor grill. Buttonwood Reserve is an easy 15-minute drive from Governor’s Harbour, the main town on the island. Governor’s Harbour has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Just a mile from Buttonwood Reserve is the village of James Cistern, which has two grocery stores, a town dock where the fisherman bring their catch every day, a produce stand, and three small local restaurants, Kel-D’s, Lee’s Café, and the new Leorose Sunset Beach Bar and Grill. James Cistern is also the home of Stubb’s famous barbecue, now called Tamarind Tree Grill, every Friday and Saturday, which is not to be missed. Other restaurants in the area include Pascal’s at boutique luxury resort Sky Beach Club, Tippy’s (international and fusion), 1648 Bar & Grille at French Leave (fine dining for lunch and dinner), The Rainbow Inn (steaks and Monday night brick oven pizza night) and Da Perk Café (café and sandwich shop). Eleuthera is most famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is safe and friendly. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks and bikes. A visit to Windermere offers tranquility, privacy and the restorative beauty of nature; fresh home-made bread and vegetables from the Farm shop, and delicious rum cocktails add to the pleasure. The pace of life slows, books get read, and there is all the time in the world for sunrise walks and sunset swims, snorkeling on the reefs and diving for conch. Considered to be one of the most beautifully designed houses on Windermere, Coriolana has wonderful inside and outside living spaces. The wrap-around terrace overlooking the Atlantic, and the tranquil courtyard around the swimming pool both offer seating and dining areas. The elegant living room looks out across the turquoise sea to the East and the swimming pool to the West, through glorious french windows. Each bedroom opens out onto the terrace, and offers direct access to the beach, down a picturesque stairway, and the sound of the surf soothes you to sleep. The three guest bedrooms have twin beds that can be converted to kings beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a great new barbecue. Other amenities include air conditioning throughout, WIFI, TV via a fire stick (but not cable), kayaks, bikes, snorkel gear, gas grill a back up generator, and a back up water system. We have a palapa on the beach for shade. We provide a 4-hour maid-service daily except Saturdays; more can be arranged as can cooking and babysitting. While you are staying you also have temporary membership at the Club At Windermere, where you can use the tennis courts, heated pool, small gym, TV/library (open year round), and restaurant and bar (open November to May). There is another excellent new oceanfront restaurant in Savannah Sound, five minutes away by car, called Fishbone Beach Bar and Grill, which is open year-round. There’s also a grocery store, Midway Cost Cotters, in Savannah Sound. Local boats will take you fishing on the reefs and exploring the mangroves, following the turtles, diving for conch and searching for starfish. A twenty minute drive takes you to some excellent restaurants and if you are missing the hustle and bustle then an hour and a half drive takes you to Harbour Island and its vibrant night-life.

    The home definitely has a wow factor when you walk through the door,the views are breathtaking. The house is very comfortable to hang out in and very well equipped. They even had puzzles and games. I liked the fact that the bedrooms were on the other side of the living area, that way if some went to bed early others still could stay up without interference. We only had 3 in our group so we never used the guest house or the pool house for that matter. The beds and pillows were not that comfortable average at best. I was very disappointed that the big master spa tub did not work and he said they couldn’t get parts to fix it. It probably would have taken a day to fill because the water pressure is vey low. I would suggest they remove the photo and update the living room photo because the furniture is completely different. The new couches and rug are beautiful and comfortable.
    I think a lot of things are so expensive that they just defer you from using them. The biggest one being the air conditioning and your $300 allowance. Had I read that I’m not sure I would rent here. It was very humid and we rarely turned it on except for the bedrooms at night and sometimes in the afternoon to get the humidity out. Like I said never used the guesthouse and we went over the allowance. I think for this kind of money you shouldn’t have to worry about your comfort level. I do have to say the management company was amazing anything you needed they were very attentive and always pleasant. It was easy to arrange for a masseuse to come to the house,they also have a cleaning service come in one day,and we were able to arrange our COVID tests to be taken at our villa.

    The bathroom was convenient when out by the pool because you could not access the pool from the back of the house. We did sit down by the dock but I have no idea how you could ever go in the water from there,it is complete rocks and the stairs under the water are so slippery that I couldn’t even get my feet wet so that was a bit disappointing. We did enjoy the pool area and swam many nights as well.
    Not being familiar with the area the home is not near town so there is nothing to walk to or even go walking. We had hoped to walk every day but the streets are not conducive to it. I’m glad we rented a car however anytime we went to town for dinner we hired a driver because with driving on the other side of the road which I was also not aware of it was too scary at night.
    In conclusion I would just say do your homework and make sure the things that are important to you are addressed. It’s a beautiful country with beautiful friendly people. Bring lots of money because it is so expensive ??
