NOTE: We are in a family-oriented neighborhood, therefore we rent to FAMILIES ONLY. NO PARTIES. This is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage just steps from the beach. Located in Green Gables Shore, this cottage was completely renovated in 2011. Formerly one of "Murphy's Sea View Cottages", this spacious gem is nestled in a small group of cottages and overlooks the ocean. A short drive from Kensington and Summerside, the cottage is convenient to shopping, dining, and attractions. Whether you want to visit Avonlea and walk the beaches of Lucy Maude Montgomery, learn Celtic dancing, take the lighthouse tour, or feast on PEI mussels and lobsters, Northern Knights is the place to stay. View our photos and imagine yourself strolling on the beach, frolicking in the ocean, or sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the sea. And finish the day as the northern lights rise in the night sky over the Cottage. The cottage underwent a complete facelift in 2011. We began by adding a third bedroom that faced the sea. The new bedroom has great views through its picture window along with a smaller window on each side wall. Each of the other bedrooms also received new windows, making them brighter and compliant with Provincial fire codes. We removed the old wood burner and replaced it with modern propane heat to take the chill off on a cool summer evening. We expanded the kitchen by installing all new cabinets, counter tops, and a breakfast bar. And we brought it into the 21st century by adding a dishwasher, a stacked washer/dryer unit, and a water filtration system. And what would a new kitchen be without a new bath?! We replaced the toilet, sink, vanity, and flooring. All of the additions necessitated upgrading the plumbing and the electrical system throughout. We finished with new flooring, a new ceiling treatment, a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, and all new curtains, linens, and bedding. Please note: 1. Guests will be required to provide their personal phone number, email address, and residential address after booking. 2. PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED. 3. There is NO LIVE television available. There is a ROKU attached to the TV for Internet streaming. There is also a DVD player. 4. This is a NO SMOKING property. 5. This is a NO PET property. Exceptions are not possible.

School Street House is an old-time dwelling steeped in history and preserved since the turn of the last century. Like a Message in a Bottle: Children's signatures discovered on an old plaster wall behind a hundred years of paint and wallpaper revealed that School Street House was the 1904 birthplace and childhood home of world renowned marine botanist, Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane. Dr. MacFarlane is credited with putting PEI on the map as the “Irish Moss capital of the world.” Irish moss, a form of seaweed, is a major source of carrageenan, commonly used as a thickener and stabilizer in processed foods and products, including ice cream, beer, wine and toothpaste. This is a 4 star Canada Select property .Licensed with Tourism PEI # 2301040 Nestled on the south east shore of Kings County in a small fishing and farming Hamlet, it is a peaceful place. The cottage is located close to the shore on our small family farm where we raise a few sheep and chickens and where our elderly Welsh Cobs enjoy their retirement. We have had many 5 star reviews, in the three years we have been open, some are shown below. We try to give our guests a quiet and peaceful stay so they can unwind from their often busy lives. The beach at White Sands consists of 5 coves along the red sandstone shore. Great for couples and families. The cottage, which is decorated in soft relaxing colours has two bedrooms and sleeps four in quality beds with cool cotton linens, fluffy towels and bathrobes continue that comfortable home from home feeling. The kitchen has modern amenities including a dish washer, there is Wi-Fi and a smart TV, board games, jigsaws and beach toys as well as beach chairs and towels. The all weather screen porch is a cosy nook with comfortable seating and soft, warm throws for your added comfort. Outside you will find a shower, BBQ with out side dining set and a fire pit with seating. We supply kitchen basics and you are welcome to pick fresh herbs from our garden and we always have a good supply of fresh eggs from our chickens. We are located between the picturesque villages of Murray Harbour and Murray River where you can find four restaurants, library, gas station and a general store, also coffee and gift shops as well as boat tours along the Murray River. The Confederation Trail is just 4 kms away. Two award winning wineries are within 5 miles and we now have two craft breweries in Montague which is around 15 minutes away, as well as supermarkets, fast food and fine dining. This peaceful spot is still only a 45 minute drive to the capital Charlottetown with many specialty restaurants, theaters and historical houses to enjoy. The eastern end of the island boasts 50 wonderful beaches, including the renowned Singing Sands at Basin Head. We also claim the best Fish at Chips in St Peters ! Janet B: What an amazing 3 days we spent at this cottage in southeast PEI. The layout is just right...Roomy yet cozy. The décor is very tasteful with high quality furnishings and linens. Susan obviously put a lot of thought into every detail, as it is equipped with everything you need for a long stay. The porch is roomy and overlooks a field (with 6 curious and entertaining sheep) and beyond is the ocean. Staying on a hobby farm added to the comfortable & homey feel. Susan & David were very friendly & welcoming, letting us know they were just a field away if we needed anything, yet respecting our privacy at the same time. They have very high standards and work hard to see that their guests have a wonderful holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely visit this lovely cottage next time we head east. I highly recommend the cottage to others looking for a piece of heaven in beautiful PEI. Beautiful beachfront cottage in very private setting set on six acres. Water views from living/dining room area and from each bedroom. Working fireplace, two large decks... One facing water, and one facing rear fenced-in yard. Large garage and long driveway with plants and flowers. Fully furnished. In rural setting, yet close to two villages with groceries, hardware stores, liquor stores, restaurants. Swimming, bicycling, golf, kayaking, hiking, fishing all either right there or close by. Lots of fresh seafood (mussels, lobster, fish) available at local markets. Beach is very private and water is shallow for some ways out. Pet-friendly accommodation... Well-behaved pets please!
