This fee must be paid by guest, upon check-in, directly to the resort administration. Guests who arrive with a personal invitation by the villa owner may not have to pay this fee. This is a private property within a hotel and residential resort community. The resort keeps tight 24-hours security control throughout and around the resort.     Jacques says ‘To avoid. This owner doesn't care about you.’
    Studio at Ocean Dream, which we rented for 3 months, needed a lot of love. I had to lose a day of vacation cleaning the cabinets without telling you the condition of the kitchen items. Dirty, broken and obsolete. Ex: knives that do not cut, no scissors, the toaster only worked on one side and the owner never wanted to replace it. He said that if we were not happy, buy one (I kept his email). In addition, several lights burned out, I had to buy one above the stove to see what I cooked. The extra dirty oven, we had to pay a cleaning lady to get around it. The kitchen hood did not even work. The owner was notified and did nothing. The studio is really far from the beach, block 108, and really close to the street. Excessively noisy, constantly, all night. Hard to make a good night. A complex that is like being one, dedicated to the elderly. If you are a kitesurf enthusiast, again, to avoid, between 3 kitesurf schools. There is no place, too many beginners, too many people, no pleasure to have at this place. In addition, this owner is classified super host on Airbnb: what a scam. Also avoid bank transfers, there are hidden fees (almost $ 50 USD) The owner said it was not his bank and it was on my side personally I had an investigation done by my Bank and it turned out that it was in the Dominican Republic that it came.We do not recommend and especially at this price.It is not difficult to find better in Cabarete, believe me.

    I must say that Jacques was very unpleasant from the beginning to the end of his stay, despite all the help we gave him and proposed (our office is less than a minute walk from the studio, it is very easy intervene quickly to meet the needs of guests and moreover we gave for him personal locker room for his kiteboarding equipment for free!). So, I'm not too surprised by his comments which are very exaggerated and of bad faith. For those interested in our studio and asking questions, here are our responses to Jacques's comments:
    1- Toaster, the toaster was brand new and worked fine, but Jacques burned it himself and asked new one!!!

    2- Payment, I offered Jacques to pay the deposit by PayPal in order to avoid additional fees, but he himself chose wire transfer payment and got extra fees. It was his choice.

    3- Noise, It is true that one of the windows of the studio overlooks the street, but noise can not be almost heard if the window is closed. We have never had any complaints about this topic other than Jacques. Otherwise, the place is usually very quiet.

    4- Location, The description of the studio clearly states (with pictures) that block 108 close to the street. We're sorry if Jacques did not read it properly. That said, the sea is only a minute walk from the studio

    5- Cleaning, I informed Jacques in advance that cleaning not included in the Long term rent and I offered cleaning service for him, the cost just $ 10 USD!!! for one cleaning, but he refused it!!! For information, the apartment was in an incredible state of dirt after Jacques departure. Absolutely mess!!!

    No one has ever been rude to Jacques, our entire team has shown a lot of patience with him, despite his obvious hostility.

    We rent a one bedroom apartment in Sol Bonito, Cabarete, from January 5 to February the 9th . And we love it. The pictures where quite accurate, the resort very secured, very nice gardens, and a short walk to the beautiful beach.
    From there you can walk the three km. to Cabarete's beach. Very nice weather and perfect temperature of the sea, but waves may be a concern for children.
    We are planing to return next year!
