The local vineyards are superb with great quality wines. “We had a fantastic holiday in this spacious 3 bedroom house with a magnificent swimming pool set in beautiful gardens in the hills above Les Arcs. The location is very peaceful and private. The swimming pool was the focus of our stay, the lack of chlorine was much appreciated and it has to be said that it was one of the best pools we have ever experienced. The pool is also toddler friendly because it has a gradual descent into the pool which gave our toddler the confidence to learn to swim. The house is tastefully decorated, clutter free, with modern furniture and mod cons. There is a functional kitchen with all the amenities we needed and an outdoor barbecue. The upstairs bedrooms have a shared balcony which gave us extra space and views of the surrounding area. As cyclists, we appreciated the use of the double garage for secure storage. We could descend down into les arcs for coffee and croissants at the excellent Le Tour cafe and return via traffic free roads through vineyards and leafy lanes. There is a local cycle path about 20 miles long, where the gradients were easy and gave panoramic views of the local vineyards. If you do this track, make sure you stop at the Station Rosalie (green caravan), west of Lorgues, serving the best bruschetta any of us had ever tasted. A trip to the Gorge De Verdon is spectacular and would make a great place to visit for either kayaking, cycling or walking. There is a big choice of local supermarkets, Boulangerie’s and a fruit and veg shop offering fantastic fruit and vegetables to die for, are within easy access by car or bike. The area seems to specialise in rose wine and the Chateau Saint Pierre is just south of Les Arcs selling great bottles for a good price. We had an incredible holiday and we can’t wait to go back! ”

    What a wonderful house, perfect location, lovely garden and pool and fantastic hosts! We traveled to Cyprus with our four daughters to visit my husband’s family and have a holiday. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. Perfect hosts, welcoming and helpful. The girls feasted on pomegranates and figs picked fresh from their garden. Tochni is a lovely picturesque village and the house we stayed in had so much charm and all you could possibly need. We could enjoy a meal by the pool cooked on the barbecue or walk just 5 minutes to the traditional Nostod Taverna just down the hill. We were very sad to leave and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

    Glen & Irene says ‘Outstanding Location’
    The apartment is 3 kilometres east of the town of Amalfi. Amalfi town is overcrowded on most days so better out of town than in it. The apartment itself is spacious and has two great decks that overlook the coast east and west with views a good 20 kilometres across the bay - that alone makes it special. There were only two of us in the place so the deck off the master bedroom was the morning and afternoon deck of choice. It is protected and the daily parade of boats going by is mesmerizing. There is a natural rock arch below the apartment that draws lots of boating action. The kitchen is functional and is sparsely equipped - we like to cook and did three of our four nights. We were hiking so we’re without a car - not sure you would want one as driving is difficult. Groceries are a planning event and you can bus or walk into Amalfi for fresh meat, poultry, fish and other staples. We had our driver stop in Minori on the way in to pick up groceries and meat at two different places. There is great fresh fish in Amalfi every AM and a functional barbecue on the upper deck for cooking. There are also two restaurants a short walk up the Main Street from the apartment - we tried one - the pizza, fish place and it was excellent. Make reservations. It was a lovely visit and by far the most beautiful location of our 4 stops along the coast. We would definitely stay here again.
