The home is situated at an 800 foot elevation in Milolii with tropical decor and landscaped with tropical foliage. Neighborhood Milolii is a rural community and is quiet and peaceful. It is well suited for guests that don't want to be in the city or at a resort, and just want peace and quiet. The home is located at a 800 foot elevation so the ocean views in this neighborhood are phenomenal. You would need to drive to the beach or shore. There are no stores, or restaurants in Milolii. Some of the things with love about Milolii is the ocean views, the trade wind breezes, the stars on clear nights, and the sunsets just to name a few. A three mile drive to Milolii Beach Park, then a 20 minute hike brings you to the beautiful secluded Honomalino Beach. It is approximately 14 miles to the nearest amenities. Getting around You will need a rental car to access our home. The Big Island is "BIG" and a vehicle is a necessity if you want to visit the many "must see" things the island has to offer. Be prepared for a lot of driving and things are very spread out on the island but worth every mile. Other things to note The home is located- 43 miles (1 hour 15 minutes) from the Kona Airport 35 miles (1 hour) to Kailua-Kona 51 miles (1 hour) to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 3 miles and a 20 hike to the nearest beach Honomalino 25 miles (35 minutes) to Ho'Okena Beach Park (drive up beach) 2 miles to shoreline (no beach at the shore line) 91 miles to Hilo (1 hour 57 minutes) 14 miles (19 minutes) to the nearest store in Oceanview 40 miles (1 hours 10 minutes) to Costco A rental car is a must as it is approximately 1 hour 15 mins. To the Kona airport and 2 hours to the Hilo airport. It is 1 hour to Kona. The home is near City of Refuge, Punalu'u Bakery, South Point, Pu'uhonua O' Honaunau, The Coffee Belt, and is on the way to Volcanoes National Park.     Aloha. Our 3rd floor (top) unit has great ocean views and is located in the world famous Kaanapali Resort of the 17th fairway of the Kaanapali Golf Course. We are one flight of stairs up from the parking level, many third floor units have two flights. Our condo is stocked and decorated as a second home, cozy, warm and inviting, not a cold corporate space, put your feet up and reeelax. Just a short 5-10 minute walk to the beach and Whalers village. The unit has central air-conditioning (new owner air handler unit installed 1/19, and the complex replaced the chilled water plants in 2019) and a wonderful huge lanai, full size clothes washer and dryer, we provide all linens including beach towels. You will find many beach toys such as boogie boards, floats, chairs, and misc. Snorkel equipment for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware to make just about anything. We have probably 3x the amount of dishes than a typical unit, less washing. Both bathrooms are modernized as of 2019. We also replaced the big lanai sliding doors, which is an issue in most KR units. Other important notes: Ka'anapali Royal charges a $20 per day facility fee, up to 7 nights or $140 maximum...Even if you stay a year it's $140. Compare that to "resort" fees at most other condos. We charge a $189 per stay cleaning fee, probably one of the lowest. We do our best to stay competitive on rates. Feel free to contact me for discounts...Usually I can cut the nightly rate for stays over 9 nights and in the slower seasons such as May, August, Sept into Oct. Lastly, for periods that fill in my booking calendar. We have been vacation renting since 2003. We are fully licensed in a resort district that is 100% legal. Mahalo for your interest!

We are just a brief elevator ride and a few steps to the beach. You can't get any closer than this. Our condo has one bedroom with a queen size bed, queen sized sofa sleeper in the living room, a large lanai facing the ocean, dining room, full kitchens with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher all appliances including washer and dryer. The dressing room is separate from the bathroom for ease of getting ready for your day. Linen is provided. This condo is suitable for children. We offer free on island telephone service, answering machine, TV with VCR and cable, free high speed wireless internet and free parking. We do not offer any hidden fees!     Let me preface this by saying the week before I spent at a waterfront condo on Maui, which was flawless. The Kona Bali Kai is a lovely location, right on the water, great for watching whales and turtles. And it is an older condo, but well maintained. But this poor unit needs some love. I read the other reviews, and thought maybe they were harsh. But, sadly, no. When you walk in, the view and sound of crashing waves is glorious. But difficult to see because the glass patio doors have moisture between them, time for update. The carpet is not well laid down outdoor carpet, the bed is older and has long ago seen better days. The kitchen is unusual, and first thing I did was try to clean in the kitchen; small holes and stains in counter and more disconcerting, major rust spots over a good portion of the fridge. I tried to scrub them, but to no avail. I admit, I used a paper towel to open the fridge every time I used it. The inside wasn’t too bad, but the door.... Couldn’t get the TV to work, no big loss, you’re on the ocean. There were plenty of linens. The owners have splurged, and the shower has been redone, and is clean. I spent most of my time on the lanai. Truthfully, I felt taken advantage of, and I am NOT picky- I routinely stay at motel 6s. I think because it is oceanfront and a fairly decent price, a thrifty landlord may not update, hoping that the location will compensate for not updated surroundings, but my back after sleeping on that bed for a week, disagrees. Sorry Mr. P, but this isn’t fair to your renters.
