The space We built our mountainside home to an exacting standard so that our guests could relax in luxury. We have created what we believe to be one of the more unique homes in the area and since we use it often the upkeep and maintenance are well taken care of. Some highlights include: -SIZE: 3200sqft/297sqm custom designed corner lot home. We ONLY allow 12 adults to stay on the property. *Please note that the king beds can be split into twins if needs be* -LOCATION: Ski in/Walk out access to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (walk out being a 4 minute walk up the street). It’s also one of the closest homes to the Nordic Ski Centre for cross-country skiing. -ACCOMMODATION: 4 bedrooms. Upper level oversize master suite + den, walk in closet and large bathroom creates the perfect sanctuary. Second bedroom on the top floor sleeps a further 2-3 people. Lower level media room contains a further two bedrooms + full oversized bathroom. If needed there are two double sofa beds, a large day bed and a Pack n' Play/Baby cot. -RELAX: Master suite contains a deep soaker tub and separate custom built tiled shower, second full bathroom has another tub/shower and another separate shower. Main floor bathroom has a large rain shower just off the mudroom so you can ski/bike to the garage and get straight in. FULL DESCRIPTION: - Equidistant from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and the Nordic Ski Centre this custom-built full timber-frame home is perfectly located for you and your group to enjoy all that the mountain has to offer. There is plenty to do year round for the outdoor enthusiast, or, if you just want a relaxing week to unwind with the family take advantage of the modern luxuries located throughout the home. The house has been professionally landscaped and the fittings and furnishings are top notch. Ski in/Walk out access. In the winter months a very short walk up the street and you can strap on your skis/board and ride down to the gondola in minutes. Easily done, even with kids. For ski in, approach the runs located near the pioneer chair and ski in via the 'Westside' run. For avid cross country skiers the house is one of the closest to the Nordic Ski Centre. Three of the bedrooms have split kings (king beds that can be converted into twin beds). The fourth bedroom contains a double futon and a single bed in the loft near the master bedroom. For additional sleeping needs, there is a pull out couch in the master bedroom along with a day bed. Plus the media room also has a pull out couch. In total, we can accommodate 15 people, with 11 having their own beds. A crib/pack n play is available with a fitted sheet should you need it. On the top floor the oversize master suite enjoys a sitting area, gas fireplace, large flat screen TV, Blu-ray player, cable TV, Apple TV and next to the sofa bed there is a sound dock for your iPod. The granite detailed en-suite spa bath is accessed via the walk in closet. A small balcony and a large picture window complete this private and luxurious top floor retreat. Another bedroom located near the top of the stairs provides yet another comfortable sleeping area. The main floor enjoys soaring ceilings, has a spacious fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. A large square dining table easily seats eight people, with another three people seated at the breakfast bar. The living room has amazing views, cozy couches and a large wood-burning fireplace. Just off the living room there is a wrap around deck with an undercover BBQ hooked up to a permanent gas line so you never have to worry about refilling a heavy tank. A sound system with CD player and iPod dock allow you to enjoy your own music by the fireplace. Relax with a glass of wine, your favorite book, and enjoy the 270-degree views. In the summer months open the windows and enjoy the mountain air. Located just off the main floor through the kitchen there is a mudroom to put your wet clothes, along with a full washer/dryer combo and a bathroom with a tiled shower. This room has heated flooring and drying hooks allowing your clothes and gear to dry quickly. The garage also has heated flooring and racks to put your skis/boards. On the lower floor there is ample space in the media room with a gas fireplace and a wet bar area. The two other bedrooms can sleep four in split kings. There is also a queen sofa bed and a full surround sound system with a large wall mounted flat screen TV. A Blu-ray player, Apple TV, PlayStation 3, Netflix, WIFI (accessible throughout the home) and an iPod dock are also included. A large second full bathroom with double sinks, separate shower, bath tub, granite counter tops and heated tile floors make for a spacious and comfortable area to unwind after your day on the hill. Relax after your day on the slopes in the comfortable, high quality leather sofas or in the large, private hot tub. There is an additional seating area in the loft and games room in the garage, so everyone has space to spread out. Located in the family-friendly neighborhood of Snow Pines, our chalet is located on a quiet street and there is a ski-out track in front that is also great for tobogganing at night. As you enter through the garage/games room, where there is plenty of storage for your skis, boards and wet clothes, there is also a heated boot dryer. The basement level offers a heated slate floor, full bath and bunk room with 2 sets of single bunk beds to sleep 4. On the 2nd (main level), is the kitchen, living and dining rooms, as well as a powder room and large room with a King bed. On the 3rd (top) floor, there is an additional sitting area with cable TV, a full bath with tub/shower, a bedroom with a single-over-double bunk, and the master bedroom with a King bed and full ensuite. Guest access Guests will be given a door code to check themselves in and out 24hrs.     Welcome to B.C.'s fabulous European ski village!! A short walk up the road (300m) will put you on Connector with access to the resort's main ski lifts. If this is too much for the kids, a short drive will put you at one of the main car parks. You can return to within 50m of our house, getting to Connector via Blazer, Runaway or Tighten Yer Boots. We have a lovely family home with vaulted ceilings and picture windows with views to our large yard and Morrisey Mountain. There are four sizable well-appointed bedrooms with fabulous mattresses, good bedding, and warm duvets for a great night's sleep after a fun day on the slopes. The chef's kitchen with everything you need at your fingertips, is in an open plan area with great dining table and a comfy living room. In the Living room you will find a TV with cable, a cupboard with board games and puzzles, and an amazing fireplace that heats the house in minutes. The main floor features an easy access front queen bedroom, full bath with shower stall as well as the king master with ensuite. There is a conveniently located laundry room on this level with large capacity machines, drying area and mudroom for equipment and outdoor clothing storage. The back deck has a gas BBQ that can be used all year round, with the possibility of a little shoveling… ?? Upstairs are 2 further bedrooms, a queen room and an x-long double bunk room serviced by a full bathroom along an open walkway above the living and dining rooms. Downstairs is a media/exercise room with large screen TV, electric fireplace, and 5 Lazy-boy places on the couches. Loads of movies, books, toys, and games for all age groups are available to enjoy during your stay. There is also an assortment of exercise equipment including a rowing machine, free weights, and mats for floor exercises, yoga, or Pilates. Warm up those muscles after a day of activity - out the side of the house, with views to the mountains, you can enjoy a multi person jetted hot tub with fun-coloured lights. Blue and white hot tub towels can be found in a cupboard in the living room. Our house also has a huge unusually flat backyard, perfect for family fun, building snowmen and igloos. Because of the house's unique suitability to families with children and grandparents with possible accessibility challenges, we only rent to family groups.
